Liverpool FC status Frånvaroläge: Elliot(skadad), Origi(skadad), Minamino(skadad), Thiago(skadad), Salah(landslag), Mané(landslag), Keita(landslag)+flertalet covidfall Trolig startelva (4-3-3): ?
Shrewsbury status – Glyn Price från Blue and yellow fanzine(@ B_and_A_fanzine)1. We met in this tournament a few seasons ago, what has happened at your club since then? Since we last played we played a couple more games, then the rest of the 19/20 season was called off for Covid. When we came back in 20/22 Sam Ricketts was sacked into the season and Steve Cotterill came in, caugh Covid, almost died but eventually kept us up again in league 1. This season started really bad but we have revived to mid table after a good run over the festive period. So, a lot! 2. How do you remember the last games against Liverpool? The home game fight back to 2-2 will long in our clubs folk law. The starts of Liverpool, dragged back into a game they thought was won. No throwing Salah or Firmino could save it in the end. Packed New Meadow, bouncing. What a day. The away game is remembered as one of the WORST away experiences of all time. The Anfield Road end is hardly fit for purpose. Cramped, crap views, worse than an afternoon on the terrace at Fleetwood. Add to that traffic problems, Liverpool not being helpful on a number of pre match issues, a dodgy VAR call to rule out our opening goal compounded by a god awful performance and a crap own goal as we lost to Children. It literally can be worse than that this time! 3. Covid has been a big talking point in the Premier League in the past weeks, how has covid affected your team? We had our big issue and out break last season when a number of players got it, the. As mentioned Manager Steve Cotterill got sick sick he was hospitalized twice and took months to get in the dugout again. We Lerner a lot of lessons from that last season and have hardly had an issue this season so far. No games off. Our players took the booster in front of press last week. We are Covid secure to be honest. Which was all the more annoying when Klopp came out and made a judgment of vaccination rates and player safety in the EFL. Ironic really that a week later your club gets absolutely wrecked by COVID including Jurgen himself. Those in glass houses and all that! 4. How would you describe the way you play? Currently we play with five at the back with wingbacks and play defensively solid and look to score on breaks, and will certainly do that against a Liverpool team of any strength. It’s been working well for the last month or so. 5. Which players are most important to your team? Sadly our most inform striker who’s been brilliant the last few weeks, Dan Udoh, limped off injured in our last game so we are not sure if he’s going to play. As such it’s Josh Vela and Luke Leahy who stand out as our men to watch. FULL of energy and never stop in midfield they help out the defense and get forward when they can. Good league one players who will be relishing a chance in a game like Sunday.6. How is the current form of the team? We come into the game in our best form of season. Unbeaten over the festive period winning 3 and drawing 1. Last game we beat recbelt relegated Sheffield Wednesday so we come into this game in a lot better form that the game at Anfield last time. The team have show grit, determination and heart in recent weeks which I’m sure will be on display at Anfield what ever the score.7. What are your thoughts on the game on Sunday? Who knows! Who’s going to play from your side. Will our star striker be fit. Logically it’s going to be incredibly tough, but it’s impossible to know the lingering effects of the Covid issues will have on Liverpool so I see it as a decent time to play you. If we got a draw it would be dream land, but suspect Klopp will be back moaning about too many games again!
