Enligt The Daily Express kan Rafa Benitez komma att efterträdas av Martin O’Neill.

En insiderkälla inom fotbollsbranschen sa till tidningen:  “There is a great deal of talk within the game that O’Neill is highly regarded by Liverpool’s American owners.

“I’ve heard Alex McLeish’s name mentioned but O’Neill would be the much stronger candidate and would, in my opinion, take the job.”

The Daily Express menar att den största anledningen till att Benitez kan bli kvar i Liverpool är de ekonomiska omständigheterna. Klubben skulle nämligen behöva betala upp till £15 miljoner för att bli av med Benitez.
