Liverpool FC status Frånvaroläge: Salah(AFCON), Mané(AFCON) Trolig startelva (4-3-3): Kelleher Bradley, Gomez Matip, Tsimikas – Henderson, Keita, Jones – Gordon, Firmino, Jota
Cardiff status – Oliver Cassidy(@ollieblubirds)Its been a few seasons since we last met, how has this season been so far for Cardiff? It’s been a disaster! Cardiff are currently in a relegation battle in the championship. Expectations at the start of the season was to be fighting for promotion again. It’s been the complete opposite with us losing 9 games in a row at one point. 2. Steve Morison has been your manager since november, after being promoted from the U23-team, is he a long term solution or are the club searching for a manager? Steve Morison looked like to be a long term solution as we are struggling with finances. However, it has been reported that the owner wants better and has looked at bringing back former boss Neil Warnock. A lot of fans are angry with this because Steve Morison is the future and has done a great job bearing the circumstances. 3. How would you describe the way you play? As you probably know, Cardiff were very famous for playing extremely direct football. However since Steve Morison has come in, we are playing a more attractive brand of football with these younger players. It’s not exactly tiki-taka but it’s a lot better than previous years. 4. Which players are most important to your team? There are a couple of great players developing in our team. I would say our forward Rubin Colwill is one of our danger players and on his day, he can cause trouble for any defender. Another player I would say is our centre back Mark McGuiness who was brought in the summer and has been a great asset. Both of these players are very young and have great futures ahead of them. 5. Now you play Liverpool, what kind of game do you expect? It honestly depends on what team Liverpool play. If Liverpool play a very strong team, I think it will obviously be going in one way traffic. However if Liverpool don’t play a very strong team, then don’t rule us out. You never know in the FA Cup and Shrewsbury Town were giving you a hard time in the previous round so I think it all depends on what team you play. 6. What is your favourite memory from the FA-cup? I was a bit young at the time and didn’t know about football too much but I’ve heard some great stories about the 2008 FA Cup final. Cardiff agonisingly lost to Portsmouth in the final but went on such a great cup run that year. Hopefully we can go one better this year!
